CURRENT LOCK CLOSURES
The EA has announced the following lock closure programme for the winter of 2007/8. Those planning to escape from Priory to the canal system at the beginning of the new season should bear these in mind - and check with the EA.
Also bear in mind that we are now in the season for "Strong Stream Advice". When Strong Stream Advice is in force several locks, including Cardington, are used for flood defence purposes and may be closed at no notice to navigation. When Strong Stream Advice is in force, you are advised not to venture out on to the river. You can sign up to receive SSA by registering on the forum board and signing up to the SSA Group. You will then receive an e-mail when SSA is issued and cancelled.
